A Focus on Fitness

High School District 210

Athletic Facilities

Connecting to the Community

Community access and involvement were essential themes for each of the projects within the District. Engaging area Park Districts through intergovernmental agreements, District 210 has expanded athletic facilities at two existing schools and engaged the community in the programming at two new high schools.

Athletics are important to the School District. Each high school features a Field House large enough for three regulation sized basketball courts, Indoor Track and Field, Volleyball, as well as Team and Physical Education Locker Rooms.

There is a regulation size Swimming Pool and Spectator Balcony, Aerobics/Weight Center and Dance Studio within the facility.

A competition Gymnasium with a multi-level bleacher arrangement is large enough for a capacity crowd of 2,500. A Wrestling Gym for individual wrestling meets is also part of the complex.

The community has access to these athletic amenities for physical fitness activities such as walking, swimming, and dancing.
