Enhancing Spaces for Education and Athletics

South Campus Fieldhouse Addition

Client:
Minooka Community High School District 111

At DLA Architects, we understand that great design goes beyond buildings—it’s about creating spaces that foster growth, connection, and opportunity. For Minooka Community High School District 111, we collaborated closely with students, staff, parents, and community members to develop a comprehensive facilities plan that addresses the growing district’s needs.

The South Campus Fieldhouse addition is the centerpiece of this long-range vision. Designed to serve both the school and the surrounding community, the fieldhouse will be a multi-purpose facility providing four basketball courts that can accommodate 4 volleyball and 16 badminton Court as well, a 200-meter, six-lane indoor track, pole vault and long jump area, a weight room, additional locker rooms, a coaches office, more storage, and a maintenance shop. This addition solves critical space shortages for physical education programs and expands opportunities for athletic teams. Beyond athletics, the fieldhouse is a space for the entire community—a hub where students and residents can come together, stay active, and thrive.
