You can browse our website and admire our architecture, but there’s something to be said about experiencing a great building in person. This month, architects from across northeast Illinois are invited to do just that at the tour of the East Maine SD 63 First Steps Preschool on July 28, 2021.
The tour will be led by:
- Matt Lowe, Director of Design, DLA Architects
- Barb Golik, Principal, First Steps Preschool
- Tracy Biederstadt, Project Manager, DLA Architects
- Heather Juhl, Lead Designer, DLA Architects
How exciting can a preschool tour be? Well, Early Learning Centers are often the first formal educational experience that most children will have. During the tour of this brand-new facility, you will see how East Maine SD 63 and DLA Architects created an environment for students to feel they belong. The building, tailored to a research-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum, sets the tone for their educational expectations as life-long learners.
