Stop Juggling Facility Emergencies & Position Yourself to Succeed with a Long-Range Action Plan

Event Date: Friday, October 9, 2020 9am – 2pm

Ponds on the roof! Leaky pipes! Crumbling parking lots! Not to mention the member complaints about the awful flooring! Didn’t we just renovate this place (10 years ago!?!)? How did we not see this coming?

Learn what it takes to see into the future and anticipate facility needs before they become a problem. This session will provide guidance on how to create a facility maintenance and replacement strategy that will put your agency on the path toward financial sustainability. It will focus on three phases of solving this problem; first – creating a baseline of existing conditions, second – prioritizing and projecting maintenance and replacement needs, and third – creating a timeline with costs the agency can use for long term budgeting. Be the hero for your agency with insights to forecast years of maintaining your facility.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to understand the benefits of capital planning and identify a useful action plan.
  2. Participants will be able to understand the steps involved in the assessment process.
  3. Participants will be able to understand how the agency can use the plan to effectively schedule operations & maintenance.
