Outdoor Amphitheater Design for the Village of Schaumburg

The Prairie Center for the Arts is one of the premiere performance venues in the northwest suburban area, hosting local entertainment as well as international touring acts. An important part of the campus is the new outdoor Amphitheater design.

DLA Architects designed a complete renovation of the existing stage structure, providing a new, elevated stage surface and enhanced the acoustical performance by adding reflective back walls to project the sound into the seating area. The stone-clad structure and columns complement the lakeside setting. The steel-framed pergola also features new stage lighting, creating a performance venue that sets the mood for the Outdoor Summer Breeze Concert Series.

Local and international entertainment acts take stage on the renovated amphitheater at the Prairie Center for the Arts, one of the premiere performance venues in the northwest suburban area.
