FRWRD Project Earns LEED Silver Certification

U.S. Green Building Council recognizes FRWRD’s commitment to environmental stewardship and energy conservation.

The Fox River Water Reclamation District (FRWRD – http://www.frwrd.com/) achieved LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the design of its new Administrative Office and Laboratory, located in South Elgin. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the internationally recognized metric for determining the degree of sustainability incorporated into a facility. The project was designed by DLA Architects, Ltd. and constructed by Lamp, Inc. serving as the Construction Manager.

UPCOMING AWARD PRESENTATION

The LEED Silver plaque will be presented to the Fox River Water Reclamation District Board of Trustees at their regularly scheduled board meeting on January 27, 2014 at 9:00 am by representatives of DLA Architects.
